Courtney Dawson, MD

Dr. Dawson was born, raised, and trained in VA. She is originally from Altavista, VA, and currently resides in the Gretna area. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University followed by her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (formerly MCV) and completed her Family Medicine residency in 2021 from Centra Lynchburg Family Medicine. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and is interested in practicing full-scope family medicine including newborn and pediatric care, preconception planning with prenatal care until 36 weeks of pregnancy, women’s health care including IUD and nexplanon placement, as well as geriatric care. When she is not providing care to her patients she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and two dogs. She is excited to provide care to her hometown area at the Staunton River office.
